A: No, you must use an aftermarket lug nut kit.
Q: What are hub rings? Do I need them for my new wheels?
A: A hub ring is generally a plastic ring that will center the wheel on the factory hub to assist when you are installing your lug nuts. In some instances a hub ring can also assist with reducing minor vibrations felt after installing new wheels. A hub ring is only required on wheels that have a larger center bore than the truck.
Q: What is center bore?
A: The center bore of a wheel is the size of the hole in the center of the wheel. Also referred to as hub bore. Most aftermarket wheels have a larger center bore to allow the wheel to fit a wide range of vehicles.
Q: What is offset and backspacing?
A: Offset is the measurement in millimeters from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting pad. Offset is most often referred to as a negative number. A zero offset means the mounting pad of the wheel is directly in the center of the wheel. The higher/ more positive the offset generally means the tire and wheel stays under the vehicle with a more minimal lip. The lower/more negative the offset generally means the tire and wheel will push out from the vehicle & have a deeper lip.
Q: What are forged wheels?
A: A forged wheel is made from a solid piece of billet aluminum. It is then cut in a CNC machine. This process allows a wheel to be built with a lot less material and maintains a much higher strength than cast wheels. It also allows for more possibilities for design as well.
Q: What are TPMS? Do I need them?
A: TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is a system designed to tell the driver of a tire losing air pressure. Not all vehicles came with TPMS from the factory, but the system has been mandated as of 2007 and required as of 2016 if the vehicle is under a certain GVWR. If our vehicle has TPMS we recommend that you purchase new sensors with your Tire/Wheel package to prevent a fault in the system. If you are unsure if your vehicle has TPMS give us a call
